Sandwell Consortium Cost of Living Support Programme
“Do you need some additional support to help you to cope with the cost of living crisis?
Sandwell Consortium are offering a free and confidential service:
• benefits and debt advice
• energy advice
• help with budgeting
• employment support,
• help to get online
All in a single service, provided by trained and experienced advice workers from Sandwell Consortium and Citizens Advice Sandwell.
We want to help you to have a real change in your financial circumstances through an increase in your household income and a reduction in your household expenditure.

If you need support with income maximisation, completion of benefit application forms and support with benefit related queries and or tribunal and appeal support and representation. Customers can visit their local Walsall Connected site for initial support. Financial Capability Adviser (Maternity Cover)
Hours: 29.5 hours per week
Salary: £23,000 pro-rata
Contract: Fixed Term Maternity Cover – 30th September 2025
Location: Sandwell and Walsall
Closing Date: 27th August 2024 – 5pm
Provisional Interview Date: 9th September 2024
This role will be to support members of our local community who are in or facing fuel poverty as a result of the current cost of living crisis. You will be required to offer budgeting advice, information around understanding energy bills, benefit calculations, support with grant applications and to work closely with other teams within the organisation/local partnerships in order to provide clients with detailed and holistic advice.
The role requires you to have a level 3 in energy awareness or to have completed this by 1st October 2024.
